Spring UAM Urban Assult Mixte

Rewind Cycle has completed a spring clean, and as a result is offering this UAM Urban Assult Mixte from the stable for auction. The eBay link can be had by clicking here. The full build list is also noted therein.

Alternatively, just leave a comment and your details and we'll get back to you.

Get it while it's hot - "Treat the wife. Treat somebody else's wife. It's a lot more fun if you don't get caught... it's a deal, it's a steal, it's sale of the f*king century"*.

This is how we do it... Happy New Year, Happy New Bike

This is how we do it (not like Montell Jordan).

Andrew's wife's build is the White & Celeste.

Build sheet includes:
  • Original Apollo Mixte frame (Tange Chromo), prepped with cable stops removed, powdercoated gloss white
  • Original Apollo fork (Tange Chromo), rechromed
  • Original headset
  • Original stem & bars, polished (by Andrew!)
  • Radial front, 3x rear Celeste Deep-Vs on IRO hubs, Sapim Spokes
  • Polished Shimano 600 cranks, 42T chainring
  • Shimano 18T freewheel, KMC 710SL chain
  • Tektro levers, Tektro R556 long reach calipers, white housings
  • Kenda Kwick 700x30 tyres
  • MKS pedals, Selle Royale ladies saddle
  • 1 part TLC from Rewind Cycle
It rides beautifully, and is smooth and quiet. The Lugged frame and fork are very pretty, and with the current build retains some traditional character while ensuring 'new parts' reliability. Hope Bec enjoys riding it as much as RWC did building it!

Couldn't help taking some pictures of the Apollo with it's sister bike Peugeot.

When are we going riding?

Concorde - better photos, however...

Took some better pictures of the completed Concorde today, which look great, but a little heart breaking.

As I had it balanced on a pedal against the curb, the wind took it and pushed it over. As a result the RHS pedal, grip and side of the saddle came to grief. The pedal and grip I'm not as concerned about, but the saddle has now a small battle scar where the smooth leather top has grazed and the suede like base has become exposed... not sure what to do with it - Mick I'll have to come see you!!

It is very nice to ride though, even with the toe overlap on the front wheel!
